Jan - No Meeting. Relax and enjoy your garden!!!  
Feb - "Gardening in Suburbia" 
by Neil Duncan (Neil is a horticulture lecturer at NMIT and will speak on his real experiences in developing his own magnificent garden in Essendon).
 
Mar - "Grasslands in Peril" 
by Giorgio De Nola (
Giorgio is a member of our group with interests in grassland conservation in Caroline Springs, surrounding suburbs and on the Keilor-Werribee Plains - his talk will investigate the perilous state our grasslands are in, look at the inadequacies in legislation supposed to protect them and what needs to be done).
Day trip - Goldfields area nurseries and surrounding bushland areas. Saturday March 15. Details to be announced at the March monthly meeting!
April "Plant Auction"
A chance for members to have some fun as some magnificent native garden plants are auctioned to the highest bidders - great plants at bargain prices.
 
May - "Correas"
by David & Barbara Pye (learn more about this magnificent Australian plant genus that most of us have in our garden - David & Barbara are the current leaders of the APS Correa Study Group, members of the APS Melton & Bacchus Marsh Group and are proprietors of the Suntuff Natives Nursery at Bullengarook).
St Philips Autumn Fair & Flower Show. Our group has a stall promoting, displaying and selling native plants. Saturday May 3 ... St Philips is our meeting veune.

June - "The Millenium Seedbank Project"
by Neville Walsh (Neville is a conservation botanist at the Royal Botanic Gardens/National Herbarium in Melbourne).
 

July - "Reinventing an Urban Park: The native revegetation of Royal Park"
by Phillip Mawdett (
Royal Park Officer - employed by Serco, Melbourne Parks and Gardens - Serco is currently under contract to maintain the City of Melbourne's open spaces, which includes Royal Park.)

Day trip - Toolangi Forest. Saturday Jul 14, Details to be announced at the July monthly meeting!
August - "Growing and Propagating Stylidiums - Trigger Plants"
John Thompson - Come and see and learn more about one of the largest and most interesting plant genus in Australia including pictures of the many amazing WA species.
 
September - "Flora of Morwell National Park"
by Ken Harris, Friends of Morwell NP -
Morwell National Park is one of the few remaining areas of remnant vegetation in the Strzelecki Ranges - see the excellent 'Friends of Morwell NP' website.
Weekend field trip - West Gippsland. Date TBA. These trips are always the highlight of the year. This area is lesser known to many but as usual we'll discover some of Victoria's best kept secrets! Contact us for details.
October - "Attracting Butterflies to Your Garden"

November - Plant Specimen Table 
The Plant Table in Spring is spectacular and this month is totally dedicated to discussion of the specimens grown in members' gardens.
APS Quarterly Meeting to be hosted by our Group with trips to bushland and gardens in Riddells Creek. Details to be announced at monthly meetings!
December - Australian Plant Quiz 
BYO BBQ & drinks starting 6.30pm followed by a fun quiz (starting 8pm) with lots of prizes. Also, APS book sales will be there with all their books at discount prices. The venue is our usual monthly meeting hall.
